Home 2 Taiwan Launches “The Most Important People” Campaign at Sunshine Vibe Fest 2026

Sunshine Vibe Fest 2026
Home 2 Taiwan (H2TW) officially launched its campaign “The Most Important People” during the Sunshine Vibe Fest 2026 held from March 6–8 at Central Park in Kaohsiung City. Organized by the Kaohsiung City Government, the festival celebrated international friendship and cross-cultural exchange among communities from Taiwan, the United States, Japan, the Philippines, and Thailand.

A highlight of the campaign was a free public photo exhibition featuring the work of H2TW volunteer photographers Lucie Kulhánková and Patrick Tyson who are both international students from the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism.

The exhibition captures the dignity, resilience, and humanity of individuals whose contributions often remain unseen. The campaign’s title, The Most Important People (TMIP), reflects H2TW’s message that workers and community members are central to the societies they help sustain.

Festival visitors were invited to explore the exhibition and engage with the stories behind the photographs, creating space for reflection on migration, belonging, and cross-cultural solidarity.

The initiative forms part of H2TW’s broader mission to support Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Filipino students through community programs and educational opportunities. H2TW works alongside partners such as the University of the Philippines Open University and UP Ventures for International and Transformative Academia (VINTA) to expand access to learning initiatives, including open online courses and upcoming microcredential programs for Filipino workers in Taiwan.

Members of TeamSnapCrew—Filipino photographers who are also factory workers visited the exhibition and expressed interest in participating in future programs, highlighting the growing engagement of Filipino communities in creative and educational initiatives abroad.

This initiative is made possible through the support and collaboration of the Lai Pen Yuan Cultural Foundation, Kaohsiung Medical University’s Namasia Project, Bayanihan Lab Network, and the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) in Kaohsiung.
